Hello there internet friends! =)

I know I have been slacking on the blogging side again, but I have to say it is for the greater good. School is taking over my life but that is a good thing because I am taking more photos of everything. My camera is basically attached to me! But I'm cool with that.

Anywho I am going to officially tell myself and all of my readers that I am putting the 52 week project on hold. It didn't last very long I know, but I will get back to it. I am determined to finish the whole thing eventually. I just do not have the time right now. Esp not when I want to take pictures of you all lovely people =). So I am taking a break and who knows, maybe some day I will post one out of no where for a surprise.

Week 15: Sun

Ok, as I said in my last post I have skipped week 14. I hope to eventually get back to it, but for time's sake right now I am moving on....

So here we are to the sun! We took a trip to Warnock last night to let the girls play in the park and so I can get some photos for my school projects. We were there till the sun set and I got some amazing photos that work perfectly for this week!

Note that I did not do any editing to these photos except changing to black and white. I had to leave them because they are beautiful the way they are! Mother Nature at her finest!

Where art thou 52 weeks of awesomeness?

So, yah. I'm behind.... AGAIN! I knew that once school started I would get a swift kick in the rear with tons of things to do, but I guess it didn't hit me till now that I haven't touched my 52 week of A project in a while. I am stuck on where I had left off and have no clue what to do! It is week #14: Something slimy. What around here is slimy? I think I got so stuck on this that I wasn't paying attention to how many weeks were going by here! ARG! So if you have suggestions I would love to hear them!

In the meantime I am going to skip week 14 and go to week 15. Then I will be skipping week 16 and will post week 17 by Tuesday. If that made since and you are still with me... Great! Cause sometimes I don't make much since to myself anymore! =) So be looking for those soon plus the blog of the wedding I shot today! YAY!

So if you are lost with all my posts and wondering what I have been up to, well here is a little update on moi! The whole crazy not feeling good thing and no luck with doctors... well still no where. Sigh! I am currently waiting on a call from the new doctor to hear what the results of my latest blood tests were and where we go from there. So, yup.... we got nothing so far still.... =(

In the meantime I have started school! Yipee! I'm so happy to be back learning and doing something I want to do! I like all my classes. LOVE my photo classes of course! And actually learned a few things that I have already put to good use! But with school comes projects and that means I am taking my free time to do those projects. But I love it and it is lots of fun! My recent project is currently in the lab at school still so as soon as I get it to my flash drive I will upload for you all to see! I'm pretty stoked about it =)!

I also started dance back up last week. So I am officially busy! I'm really excited about some of my classes this year though! Can't wait to see how they pan out and progress throughout the year!

So that is it in a nutshell I suppose. I am just a busy bee, but that is how I like it! If you are interested in photo sessions for the fall I would start booking now because I am limited to weekends and they are filling up quick!!!

Oh and before I go I wanted to thank everyone for all the love you have been giving me lately! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the nice compliments! They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside =). I love it! Keep up the comments even if they aren't about me. I love knowing what you guys think!

Week #13: Food

So this week you are in store for a treat! Recently, as I have posted before, I have been having some health issues. Still don't know what is going on, and after two failed attempts to see a doctor about it, I am starting to take things into my own hands. I have an appointment with a new doctor in a few weeks and I'm hoping that she will be able to get me somewhere. Anywho, something is out of whack in my nervous system and it is making my whole entire body all messed up. I have no energy most days, I blackout when I stand up, I'm shaky, tired, have trouble breathing sometimes.... Yah, it can be quite scary! Thankfully today I'm having a pretty good day!

So that brings me to this weeks challenge: food. I have a pretty good feeling that I am gluten intolerant. Being a celiac can cause a lot of the problems I have. If it isn't found within your first year of life, then it can go unnoticed for years only to have some major bodily change click your intolerance in gear. An example of this is a major infection, a major injury, pregnancy, etc. Ever since I've had my girls, my body just hasn't been the same. I have had issue after issue and after researching and reading about celiac disease, well it makes a lot of since! Now we aren't for sure if this is my problem but I am going to take it up with the new doctor in a few weeks and see what she thinks. I don't know, but I think I'm on to something!

So what is gluten you ask? Well it is a protein that is found in wheat, rye, barley, and other grains. Ok, so no bread right? That's not so bad. WRONG! Gluten is found in just about everything you eat in a day like coffee, chips, candy, beer, salad dressings, pasta, and pretty much every pop in the microwave meal you can find. When I was first suggested this and I looked up what it was. NO WAY! Nuh, uh! Not going to do it! And that was that. Put that out of my mind, but somehow it kept creeping back to me. Everything I was researching about what could possibly be wrong with me kept going back to that. Sigh. So I take another look at it. Research it some more. Bought a book. And you know? I don't think it is all that bad. Actually, after reading that book a lot of things clicked and made tons of sense! So I really did my homework and asked around to a lot of people that are celiacs. My first trip to the store was pretty overwhelming. I didn't know what to get. But then I learned to have a plan. Get a meal plan and go to the store knowing what you need instead of wondering the isles clueless. And that proved to be a lot better!

I am actually pretty stoked about this. Yah, it sucks and it is a major change, but there really is a whole lot of options out there. You just have to learn to be a label reader and eat a lot of fresh foods. All meats, vegetables, and fruits are gluten free. Most dairy items are. There actually is a lot more than you think. The plus side of this is that it is healthy! People actual go on this diet just to be healthy. I remember reading somewhere that our bodies weren't meant to eat gluten. When man first came to be it was meat, fruit, vegetables, everything from the earth. And then man made wheat, and all these other grains.  Our bodies just weren't meant for it and it is said that 1 in every 160 and some people (can't remember the exact number) are gluten intolerant. But only 10% of them know it. It takes most people an average of 7 years to figure out they are celiac! I have been living with these problems for over 4 years and I'm figuring it out. I can't imagine another 3! So I am hoping that this may be my problem. And then again, I'm hoping its not. But I guess when it's all said and done, whether I am or not, I have definitely learned a lot. Plus it opens my eyes to what goes into what we eat. Seriously, check the labels of the ingredients that go into your next meal. Do you know what everything is on there?

So anyways, that is my intro/narrative to this post. Sorry it was so long, but I have a lot to say about it. If this proves to be my problem then you will be hearing a lot more about my gluten free journey. As for now it's just a month's test run to see how I feel. So in the process, what better way to use this week's post on this journey!?

Here we go, a dive into the gluten free world!

There is a look of a few items that came from my first successful gluten free shopping trip!

A friend who has a son with a wheat allergy was so kind and showed me a few things and even brought me the pancake and waffle mix! Haven't tried it yet, but thinking about it for breakfast tomorrow! Can't wait to try the brownies too!

These are actually quite yummy and addicting! I have been on this cream cheese and jalepeno jelly dip kick and these are soooo good with that! Mmmmm!

Salmon! ... Is whats for dinner. Or, was in my case. =)

Tomatoes and peppers fresh from our garden!

This my friend, is my overstuffed fridge prepared for gluten free meals for the next two weeks! I really don't think I can fit anything else in there. But notice a majority is fruits and veggies! Not everything in there is G-free... but I do have a husband and children who aren't particularly excited about this whole thing. And check out that huge jar of minced garlic I found yesterday! I hit the jackpot with that thing! .... yah... so, we like garlic....

Ok, so onto my experiments today...

I found this yesterday and was sooo excited! Go Betty Crocker with the G-free cookie mix! So I had to give it a shot....

Tada! Looks the same right!? I was a little leery of my first bite.... but I went for it. A few little changes obviously.... hmm.... ok.... not so bad.... well lets try another one.... um...wow... this is actually pretty darn good! And about 5 cookies later...well I'm sure you can guess the outcome. =)

And so on I went to try out some bread. This by far is the biggest thing I am heartbroken over loosing. I can not begin to tell you how much I love bread and how much I actually eat it! Well... ate it I guess. So I am on a mission to find a decent tasting bread and as I have been told and read about... that is pretty hard to find. So here is try #1 with a mix I found at Hy-Vee....

So I can't say I've ever made a bread dough with a regular electric beater before. But I don't think you would want to knead it with your hands as it is very sticky! I usually use my bread machine but until I know if this a gluten free intolerance I have, the love of my life is off limits. =( Long story here, but basically I will never get to use it again if I am celiac unless I can really hard core clean it. Plus I need to find a good recipe and perfect it too before I can figure out how to put it in the bread machine lol....Anwho, here we are letting it rise...

And the final product:

Well it looked pretty good. Looked like normal bread. Cut like normal bread fresh out of the oven. So here we go for the first taste test...... and well.... eh, is all I can say. It's not terrible, but it's also not the best bread either. Not real happy with it, but right now it's all I got to go on. For the first attempt I'd say it's pretty ok after hearing the bad stories about G-free bread. I'm not going to give up just yet!

So there you have a few of my first adventures on this new diet. I think I may continue to post more as time allows (school starts next week!). If I do turn out to be a celiac, I may start a new blog about it all. But I will definitely keep you all posted!

Week #12: Household items

Here is another journey through my house (but no brown in this post I promise!) to take a look at a few of my household items....

This is one of many Americana items in my kitchen. I really love my country and proud to show it off. So I call my kitchen my ode to America. =)

I have vases of rocks in my bedroom cause I think they add a nice earthy touch. (ok so we have a little brown here, but you will live right?)

The only plant I've managed to keep alive this summer. If it can't survive by itself with just rain and sun and mother nature then it doesn't belong in or around my house. Surprisingly I've held on to this one since spring inside my house. But we shall see how long he can survive my neglect....

My life saver! When you have two kids, a husband, and animals.... well you can't go wrong with having a canister or two of disinfectant wipes around can you?

My favoritist knife ever! I used to sell pampered chef until I took on this photography adventure. But their knives are wonderful. Expensive, but wonderful! And I even edited out the brown to save your eyes from brown overload again. Well in all actuality I just liked this photo in black in white. But take whichever explanation you want. hehe...

Not the most creative photo I've done but I had to share these magnets. They make me smile every time I stop to take a look at them.

My favorite nail polish. I always buy new colors and try to experiment but always come back to my trusty old hot pink.

And at last we come to my water bottle. I hate water, but I have learned that in order to loose weight and be healthy, water is very important. So I stick to flavoring it with crystal light (only 10 calories per packet!). Keeping the bottle where it is always in my view helps too. Btw, if you are interested in loosing some weight or just want to feel better give me a buzz! I am an independent distributor of the products and can help you on your weightloss journey. And it's not just for weightloss. There are other things to help you with too like women's health, men's health, heart health, lotions, energy, all sorts of good things!

Thanks for sticking through with me so far through this project. I am about 1/4 of the way done already. Up next week is food so stay tuned because I have quite the adventure for that one!

Week #11: Favorite color

If you take a good look at my house you could probably guess that my favorite color is brown. Not a usual favorite color by many, but I like it. It reminds me of the earth and the things that come from it. Two of the rooms in my house has brown either painted on the walls or on the trim and furniture. A lot of our wood choices are a dark color that resembles more of a brown that I like. My couch is brown. Two rooms have brown curtains. Most of my favorite clothes are brown. And I'm about to take on the challenge of painting our living room a light brown. So there will be even more brown for me to enjoy. =) Enjoy your trip around my house to see a few things of my favorite color.

This was the last room that was painted, and still isn't completely finished because I can't find a border I like to go with it. It used to be the girls' room but we moved them upstairs since I re-finished it. The plan for this room was to be my office but my husband moved in his bowflex and it keeps turning into a junk room. *sigh* Some day I will have a good office space.... some day....

The headboard to our bed. It's got that dark brown tone I love just like the rest of the furniture.

See brown couch, brown pillows, brown blanket, and brown in the rug too. =) And because I love this blanket so much here is another photo of it.

I heart baskets! They are all over my house and of course I love them even more because they are BROWN!

Ok thats all the brown I will put you through today. I don't know if you noticed but look through my previous posts this week and you will find lots of brown in there too. hehe.

And guess what!? I am finally all caught up! So that means next week I can hopefully get on track and stay there. Actually I already have the photos taken and blog ready for next week but you will have to check back to see it on Monday! Yay for being productive! =)

Week #10: Things that make life easier

Here is a look at a few things that make my life just a little bit easier =)

I would die without my planner now. Seriously! Because of whatever illness or whatever it is that I have (one more week and I see the neurologist) I have brain farts quite often. I can't remember anything for the life of me and often forget what I'm doing when I'm doing it (no joke!). So my planner has become my life. If it doesn't go in here, it wont happen. So I cherish this very much to help avoid my daily memory lapses.

Ok, lets face it. We can pretty much no longer function without our computers. Well at least I can't. It connects me to everything I need. Gives me directions, makes doing homework easy, connects me to friends, and if I didn't have it then you wouldn't be reading this. I would not be able to do my job without it. And if you are looking at this photo thinking something is a little wrong here, you are right. Quite a few months ago I accidentally dropped my laptop on the tip of the screen. The screen broke but everything else was still in tact so we got a monitor, plugged it together, and what do you know I have a new desktop! HA! It works just as good but I have had to turn my table into a desk. And trust me this is a clean desk compared to my normal stack of papers, receipts, notebooks, and other random items...

Ahhhh.... Coffee! Ok, so I don't drink it everyday, and don't particularly like it black like this but it does help me perk up sometimes and get moving!

I have a love-hate relationship with phones. They do make life easier obviously, but I hate talking on them. I really don't know why but maybe it's because I've always been a quiet person? I don't know but I do know that I love to text. It's short simple and less effort than talking on the phone and distracting someone for more than 5 minutes. As much as I like to explain myself in detail on here you probably think that this couldn't be so? But it's true. The only person I actually like talking on the phone with is my mom. Don't even like talking on the phone with my husband that much, or friends. Just call me a weirdo and get it out of your system. I don't mind. =)

Everyone say hi to George! This is my 2 year old's favorite thing. Sweet ole George. You are probably asking yourself why is she putting up a picture of her daughters stuffed toy in this post? Well you see George helps me when I can't always be there for my daughter. He helps her be happy and puts her to sleep and takes trips with her when I'm not with her. So George makes my life easier by making my little girl happy and in turn making me happy. I wish everything was just that simple.

Laugh if you must but this is one of the greatest things in my house. My dog door. We have a fenced in yard in the back and before my husband left on a deployment over two years ago (he is back now, btw) I had an almost two year old and a one month old. I love my dog but it was either she was going to be an outside dog or we find something to make going in and out easier. Well that is when we bought this dandy thing. My dog (and cats) can come and go as they please and everyone is happy. =)

And there you have a list of things that make my life easier, smoother, and happier. =)

This is the last post for the day but check back tomorrow for week #11. Which will make me all caught up! yay!

Week #9: Objects that say something about you

Ok so this is kind of a tough one but I think I did myself some justice in these photos. Instead of doing a big intro into this one, I am just going to dive right in.

This is our new kitty Pablo (chilling out on a pile of laundry) that my husband rescued from the middle of no where Missouri. My husband works out of his truck and had a job to do where there weren't houses for miles. This little guy started following him and well now he is here. I guess what I'm trying to get at here is that we love animals. We would have our own zoo if money and the city allowed. =)

I like shoes. I really like sandals... and well... I LOVE flip flops! If you visit me at home, more than likely I will not have shoes on. I don't like my feet being restricted and I just love being barefoot. Maybe it's the dancer coming out in me? I don't know. But flip flops make my feet happy =).

I love my family and I love pictures (duh!). This wall used to be covered in photos of all my family, but then it felt like too much. So I ordered a huge print of the last time we had our photos done. Don't be surprised when I tell you I still haven't gotten around to ordering our new ones yet. But I will get it done another day that I am feeling good like today.... I hope....

I really like this sign and it sits above my closet. I like to take a gander at it every once in a while and remind myself of how I should be living my life.

I really wanted a photo of my dance shoes for this but since I am at home this will suffice. If you know me or have been following me for awhile you know that my other passion is dance. So here is my dance bag, well just one of them. I have several more that I trade off from time to time. But, yah, I love to dance! =)

So this is a long story that I am going to save for another post, another day. But I wanted to post a little bit about it here. This is a dime of course but it has special meaning. This is our sign to our family that we are ok. I have gotten 3 dimes total this year and I hold on to them because they are special. I keep them in my jewelry box so every time I open it I can see them and smile. Sometimes it makes me cry but most of all it makes me happy. So I treasure these and look forward to finding more.

And that is it for this one today but I will be posting week #10 here in a few minutes!

Week #8: Roads, street, signs, traffic, etc....

Ok I apologize for this week in advance. It is pretty lame to say the least, but I am doing my best attempt for being extremely behind on these. But before the week is over I will be caught up and I even have next weeks all ready to go! Yay me for being productive today! Anywho, back to this week..... This is mostly just signs and a few you may have seen before, well a version of it anyhow. So sorry for the crappy post, but the next few will be better. I promise!
