Atchison Engagements - Curtis and Cassidy

I had the pleasure over the weekend to take this adorable couple's engagement photos. I actually graduated high school with Curtis but haven't seen him since! But it was nice to see him again and to meet his soon to be bride! These guys were soooo easy to shoot and we came out with a lot of great photos! Some of my new all time favs are coming out of this session so I warn you.... we may be making another long post today! =)

We started out at the Forrest of Friendship here in Atchison. This seems to be a popular spot here lately but this place was more than just somewhere to take photos to these two love birds. This is where Curtis proposed to Cassidy! So of course it was the natural selection to take photos here and to keep making it a more special place just for them. =)

These two were so cute. It was obvious to see that they adore each other!

Love that the pond was working and back to being pretty for us!

Beginning to think the above is turning into my signature shot.... everyone loves these! =)

The below bench is exactly where Curtis proposed. So of course we had to take a photo there!
They take walks here often and so Curtis put up envelopes throughout this path. However they told me that Cassidy wanted to go the opposite way than normal the night he proposed and couldn't understand why it was such a big deal that they went this way. Poor Curtis was probably thinking that his plan may not be working. But obviously it worked and here we are! =)

I wanted to go in and take a few photos around the gazebo in the back of the park but for some odd reason there was a documentary or some kind of video recording going on not to far from where we were above. So we had to tip toe and be really quiet so we didn't interrupt the interview (or whatever it was). Oh the things I see when taking photos some times.... or sometimes it's the things I do to get good photos too!

My favorites are usually the ones like the above which are totally unplanned and that capture the real moments we have.

And then we moved onto the Missouri River. I love that they are making us a new bridge but I didn't like that all the cranes and construction were getting in my way for some good photos. But I did manage to maneuver around them and come to think about it, these could be the last photos I take with the Amelia Earhart bridge in the background!
I seriously can not get over how cute Cassidy is! Love her expression above!

LOVE the next set of shots below!

My new all time favorite!

This is their "secret kiss".... I love it when my clients put a little of their own into their photos!

And another new favorite photo below =)

These photos just make me smile! These two are definitely made for each other!

See I told you I had a lot to share lol.... we could be here all day with every one I want to share! But I promise only a few more...

And that is it for now folks! Curtis and Cassidy congrats on your engagement and I can't wait to see the love beaming from you two on your wedding day!
